Macor tube

Machinable ceramics sleeve have excellent self-lubrication. Without any metal particles, they can self-lubricate like graphite. They weigh only a third of regular steel, are even lighter than aluminum, and have a very low water absorption rate.

The usable range for machinable ceramics is from -200°C to 800°C.

Because the mica crystals in glass-ceramics have some elasticity, they can prevent microcracks from spreading, giving them pretty good thermal shock resistance. Their low thermal expansion coefficient ensures dimensional stability of the workpieces, allowing for airtight joints.

Typical applications include welding fixtures, secondary molding molds for optical glass, and so on.

Machinable glass ceramic pipe

The most remarkable feature of machinable ceramics MACor is that they can be shaped into various complex parts using ordinary metalworking tools and equipment for turning, milling, planing, grinding, drilling, sawing, and tapping, while still achieving quite high machining accuracy.

No special cutters or equipment are needed.

Machinable ceramics are a great high-temperature electrical insulating material. Their electric breakdown strength can reach 40KV/A per millimeter, and they can be used in many electrical devices.

That's why they can be machined into ceramic parts with all kinds of complex structures.

Typical applications: Insulating blocks, heat-insulating pads, insulating supports, and heat-resistant supports in various mechanical equipment.

Macor pipe

Macor machinable ceramic rods, white machinable glass-ceramic round rods, can be directly turned, milled, drilled, and tapped on ordinary machines without sintering; high temperature resistant up to 800°C, highly insulating with zero porosity, low outgassing, ideal for vacuum/high-temperature/high-pressure precision insulation parts, available in full specifications and customizable.

Application of ultra-low vacuum outgassing rate:

Machinable ceramics sleeve can be baked at 180℃, kept at 160℃ for 1 hour, and held in a vacuum furnace for 8 hours, resulting in an extremely low outgassing rate of only 8.8×10 -9ml/s·cm². Therefore, they are widely used as support components inside the vacuum chambers of various vacuum equipment.

Typical applications: Vacuum equipment, support components for vacuum coating in the photovoltaic industry.
